WHOOSH!
OK… how many stones can one garden have?! A LOT, apparently — but these aren’t just any stones. These are gravestones — and they’ve got stories to tell!
You’re now standing in one of the oldest graveyards in Swansea. But don’t worry — it’s not creepy. It’s amazing! It’s like a GIANT treasure hunt made of history!
Look around and you’ll see 9 big gravestone sculptures — like stacked stone towers. They were carefully built using old headstones from all over the garden. Some had names and dates still visible. Others were blank and worn out by weather, but we kept those too — because everyone deserves to be remembered. 💛
Over 4,000 names have been rescued, cleaned, and written down. That’s FOUR THOUSAND stories of real people who lived, laughed, and loved right here in Greenhill.
And here’s the coolest bit — each number on the stones shows where some used to be in the graveyard. You can even go online and see a 3D version of how this place once looked!

Oh — and don’t worry, you’re not walking or sitting on gravestones. Those are safely stacked in the sculptures now, looking awesome and peaceful. 🪨🧱✨
💬 STAMP IDEA: Draw a Gravestone sculpture stack with tiny names on it!
You’re doing a top job, Time Traveller. Grab your stamp, stretch your legs, and get ready — we’re off to meet a proper pen-powered lady with a HUGE imagination…
WHOOSH to the world of Ann of Swansea!
